MYL contracts with the Eastern Mass Women's Lacrosse Umpires Association (EMWLUA) to schedule and manage officials for all girls MYL games.

Level 1/2 and 3/4 games are officiated by Junior Umpires (high school aged officials) Level 5/6 & 7/8 games are officiated by Adult Officials. Junior Umpires can also be the 2nd official for a 5/6 and 7/8 game.

ABOUT EMWLUA

• Organizes and represents women's lacrosse umpires of Eastern Massachusetts,
• Improves the quality and quantity of umpires in Eastern Massachusetts
• Schedules qualified umpires for women's amateur intercollegiate, interscholastic, club, and youth games when requested by participating institutions, and
• Ensures the rights and responsibilities of members holding current U.S. Lacrosse ratings.

NEW MODIFIED 2024 Junior Officials Training

Interested in signing up to be a 1/2 or 3/4 referee to make some extra money and give back to the game you play or played and love? EMWLUA has a new modified virtual class option designed to prepare girls in the 9th-12th grades to successfully manage & officiate 1/2 and 3/4  games. This training makes you eligible to officiate in any town in MA. Click on the date below to register for one of the following modified EMWLUA training:
