Important Notes for Coaches Attending the MYL Jamboree

Below is a brief summary of “some” key points but does not represent a complete list.

Administration

• Make sure your team arrives at least 30 minutes before your first game

• Coaches must check-in at the MYL Headquarters prior to the team's first game

• Let us know if you are willing to play a 4th game if needed

• Teams provide game balls for the endlines

• Teams should have pinnies to contrast with opponents if neither has reversible pinnies

Weather / Delays

• The Jamboree will be played rain or shine

• In case of lightning, fields will be cleared until 30 minutes after the storm passes and then the games will resume based on the next full time slot. Games that were missed will not be rescheduled. All efforts will be made to find openings for teams that missed games.

• Games that are delayed (weather, injuries, etc.) cannot be extended

Behavioral Expectations / Spectators

• Spectators should watch the game from the opposite side of the field from the team bench. Spectators should not be watching from the endlines.

• The MYL Jamboree is an alcohol-free event. There is zero tolerance for consumption of alcohol on the sidelines, in the team tent area, in the parking lots, or anywhere on the presmises. Teams should communicate this strictly enforced policy in advance and encourage positive spectating at all times.
